In the 2020-21 season, Kampe led the Golden Grizzlies to the No. 3 seed in the Horizon League tournament and their first-ever trip to the championship game since joining the conference in 2014. Under Kampe's tutelage, junior point guard Jalen Moore became the seventh Golden Grizzly since 2009 to lead the nation in a statistical category with 8.4 assists per game.
