 Patrice Burrell is a fourth generation minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  A native of Franklin, Louisiana, she began singing at the tender age of two at the prodding of her pastor and grandfather, Rev. Harry Burrell. Patrice would accompany her grandfather on ministry engagements, and often ministered in song before or after he preached.  Initially, she would stand on a chair while holding the microphone because she could not see over the altar railing.  Although she did not realize it at the time, her grandfather’s foresight planted a seed within her that would ignite her life-long passion for worshipping God and her desire to share this passion with others. www.patriceburrell.com

Betty Tucker did not let her past dictate her future. She did not allow poverty and hard times to stop her. This in fact helped motivate her to go after her dreams. By recognizing her own self-worth through poetry in sixth grade, Ms. Tucker determined to achieve what she deserved. Fighting the disadvantages of gender, race and poverty, she completes an amazing journey to happiness. From Troy, Alabama to Belle Glade Migrant Worker to College Graduate... Betty Tucker is truly an example of what hard work, focus, & perseverance can do.

Many people don't want to talk about this and others are rude, mean, & and extremely angry about the subject. She just  wants to be a light for Jesus. LaShawn Dobbs (wife to Pastor Marc Dobbs) born Tameika LaShawn Filyaw, was raised in West Haven, Connecticut in a Christian home. At a young age she had been sexually abused by her adopted cousin who was several years older than her. She never told anyone during her youth, instead she lived with the hurt, pain and constant torment of the abuse. As an adolescent she became another statistic. She was pregnant with her first child at the age of 15 and a high school dropout. This was not the life she envisioned for herself as a young child. She had goals for a bright future. Goals of going to law school or possibly becoming a model. But instead she struggled with low self-esteem, no self-worth and an alcohol addiction. After 12 long years of a downward spiral, she gave her life to Christ in November of 2003.                                  In 2012 LaShawn had finally realized her purpose and passion.  She began to write her literary debut Broken, But Now I AM Healed. Tensie J. Taylor is from Louisburg, North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication—Media concentration—and a minor in Psychology and from the University of Southern California in 2014 with a Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs. Currently, Tensie is the Assistant Director of the USC Black Alumni Association and in this role, she plans, coordinates, and executes programs and events for the Black Alumni Association; directs the Legacy through Leadership Mentorship Program; assists with Toastmasters International; and helps students with their professional and career development. Tensie also serves on the Board of Directors for the We Are Ohana Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to finding resources and helping foster youth in Los Angeles. She also volunteers for United Friends of the Children, a non-profit that helps foster youth.

A two time domestic violence survivor, Melissa Holmes turned advocate and educator six years ago after surviving the second abusive relationship, she started an organization called Love Shouldn't Hurt NY Inc which is to help victims and survivors. She dedicated her life after coming seconds to loosing her life by being choked by the abuser. Melissa has been campaigning against Domestic Violence in the community to help build healthy relationships.

Pastor Chaun'Dela Anrum is the Co Pastor at Church Untraditional in Charlotte North Carolina with her husband of 7 years; Pastor James Ancrum. Getting married, starting a family, being in ministry, and moving away from my family before the age of 21, caused me to mature faster than most young women.  What I didn’t realize was that I was still holding on to the ashes from my past. I saw my “new” life, as a new beginning. I just didn’t know that I was carrying an urn filled with ashes from my past, and sporting it like an accessory to every outfit (situation) in my life. After many tears and countless struggles, I had to slowly learn that holding on to the abuse, isolation, and hurtful words was only making things worse. Plus, you look silly and nothing you do quite coordinates with an urn. Today Pastor Chaun'Dela Ancrum encourages women to let go of their past to embrace their future. Women are being made whole through her powerful testimony and amazing ministry.
