Synopsis

A Chicago native, Elysabeth has been living and breathing the arts for all of her life. Born to parents who were odd collectors and dedicated art enthusiasts, she went on to study art history and fashion in Paris and Florence. She returned to Chicago and owned an international art gallery, stretching her arts connections beyond the visual arts to all arts communities throughout the city. Having the itch to create herself, she worked in the Chicago fashion industry, designing and producing textiles in her own accessories business, while expanding her contacts into the design and fashion community. Ms. Alfano taught Graduate and Undergraduate classes in Marketing For the Visual Artists at Columbia College, and has freelanced on various arts projects, including writing art reviews and artist consulting.

    Daniel Ostling is a freelance Scenic Designer based in San Francisco with a second residence in NYC. He has worked at numerous regional theaters including the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York Shakespeare Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, the Mark Taper Forum, Seattle Repertory, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Goodman, San Francisco Opera Center, Shakespeare Theater (D.C.), and Portland Center Stage among others. Internationally, his work has been seen in at the Barbican and the Donmar Warehouse in London, UK and the Melbourne Theatre Co. in Australia. Mr. Ostling is an ensemble member of Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago since 1997. He works extensively with director Mary Zimmerman having designed numerous production including Metamorphoses for which he was nominated for a 2002 Tony Award. Upcoming projects include Much Ado About Nothing (California Shakespeare), Candide (Goodman/Chgo, Shakespeare Theatre/ DC), Becky Shaw (South Coast Rep), Arabian Nights (Berkeley Repertory).

    Nicholas Barron is a fearless and unique Chicago based singer-songwriter- painter and writer who has been making his living through music for 24 years. In 1987 he founded CASA (coalition for the Advancedment of street art) when he was an active busker and the city of Chicago was trying to ban it. He and his fellow artists won their first amendment right to express their art publicly. In 2007, James Taylor introduced Nicholas as the Launch Artist for the New York Times Emerging Artists Series at Joe’s in NYC and called him “undeniable”!
