Mark Tapson, Shillman Fellow of Pop Culture for the David Horowitz Freedom Center, prepares us for his upcoming podcast, "The Right Take with Mark Tapson." We delve into how conservatives should and can create a parallel culture to feed a public hungry for non-agenda entertainment, as well as touch on potential ways to better distribute such content. Mark also gets a little Medieval Knieval on us.

  Former Penn State President Dr. Graham Spanier visits to discuss his "In the Lions' Den: The Penn State Scandal and a Rush to Judgment." With an engaging aplomb indicative of the book's style, Dr. Spanier takes us through the arduous legal process and unnecessary battles against the mountain of prosecutorial misconduct and dysfunction he faced in the years following the alleged accusations against retired Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky.

Jim and Eric take the title of the show 100% to heart, flying around the dial, musing on Elvis (the King on his death anniversary, and the movie), which actors completely inhabited their roles while portraying real-life people, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and whatever else popped into their heads. Enjoy.  

  Remember when high school and youth sporting events allowed kids to be kids, and the sounds from the stands or sidelines pretty exclusively offered words of encouragement and cheers for the players, mixed with a little harmless peppering of the officials? I do ... and those days weren't all that long in the rearview.  This weekend on AOTP..., we address the issues surrounding how and why those not-so-distant memories have morphed into too many instances of derogatory and demeaning comments issued not only at the officials, but at and from the players and coaches as well, increasingly far too often words devolving into physical violence. Fortunately the panel also offers several solutions to get the pendulum swinging back towards an atmosphere of civility and good sportsmanship from everyone. We run the gamut from the Star Wars and MCU losing their once mighty narratives to how the actions of independent comedians like Andrew Schulz have done their parts offering alternatives to Hollywood's creativity-stifling model. We also mourn the opportunity for a high-profile music act to withstand the slings and arrows from the Twitter and SJW mobs in order to stage a concert aimed at narrowing the national divide.
