Journey with us on Sunday as we follow Jesus and the disciples on the last leg of the road to the cross.

We often ask others to pray for us and it is always encouraging to hear that they do. However, the reality that Jesus Christ is praying for us...now that takes encouragement to another level! Take heart friends, Jesus is praying for you.

We are glad to have had Pastor Dale Beaver of Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, IN as our special guest this week. Pastor Beaver has served at CFC for the past 10 years and prior to that was a chaplain on the NASCAR race circuit. He will share with us insight from scripture and his own life experiences on living in faith in Christ during your young adult years.

While on their final journey to Jerusalem, Jesus reassured the disciples by saying, "You will not be alone because I am sending the Holy Spirit." Sometimes our circumstances leave us feeling worried, confused, or even alone. But Jesus still speaks – you are never alone. The Spirit of God is always present with the people of God, comforting and guiding us.

We resumed our Life in the Kingdom series with a message from Josiah called "The Lost Sons" on the parable Charles Dickens and Ralph Waldo Emerson called "the greatest story ever told." Join us as we consider the transforming truth that Jesus' Prodigal Son parable displays about our basis for relationship with God.

Food and water are absolutely essential ingredients for physical life. However, when it comes to spiritual life, there is another essential ingredient. Jesus teaches in John 15 that in order to "stay alive" you must "remain in the vine," because "I am the vine and you are the branches."

We've assembled a great panel of couples to discuss love and marriage, respond to questions and give their insights into relationships.

Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus to come and help their brother, Lazarus, but Jesus did not come until it seemed there was no hope left. Do we trust Jesus when he doesn't come through as we expect?

Why did Jesus curse the fig tree when it wasn't the season for figs? Why did Jesus clear the temple of the moneylenders, dove sellers, and those who used these services--services which were necessary for some to worship at the temple? To what does Jesus point us in these stories?

Jesus' introduction of the Passover meal was an epic moment--he was about to predict his death and provide the definitive explanation of his earthly existence. The disciples did not understand this moment, but the rest of the New Testament (written by the disciples) provides us with the meaning behind this remarkable episode. Have you ever struggled with uncertainty, fear, or worry when thinking about the future? Sunday evening Josiah helped us consider Jesus' teaching on what we are to do with those concerns in light of the Good News of God's reign. Josiah shared this message as part of our Life in the Kingdom series from Matthew 6:25-34 titled "Trusting in God's Provision."

“In order to be great you must be a servant. Those who are first will be last…” This was the consistent message of Jesus, but the disciples didn’t understand. Everything about their environment suggested that greatness was associated with power, wealth, and fame. Isn’t this still the problem? As we consider Crossroads on the journey to the cross, let’s refocus on Jesus’ teaching about servanthood.

How are followers of Jesus Christ called to live in the world in light of the way God has worked in our lives? Listen as Josiah considers that question in a message in our new “Life in the Kingdom” series titled City on a Hill. We'll focus on Matthew 5:13-16.

Here is a picture of a woman who expressed extravagant love for Jesus without regard for cultural protocol or what people around her might think. Her gaze was upon Jesus and nothing else mattered. Because of her passionate love, Jesus predicted that her story would be told to the whole world. Here we are 2,000 years later, on the other side of the world, learning from her story.

Josiah begins a new series on life in the kingdom of God. We will be studying the Beatitudes as we consider together the transforming nature of God's rule over creation and the impact of that reality on the way we live.

Josiah kicked off the New Year and a new semester at Connexion with a sermon from Psalm 63 with encouragement on how we can pursue growth in Christ in 2016.

In this new series, we will consider New Testament passages that lead Jesus and his disciples to Calvary. There are many poignant moments in the journey to the cross which allow us to reflect on the meaning of discipleship. We'll begin by looking at Jesus’ own description of himself as the good shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep.
