I was pretty scared to write this, it started as an simple Instagram or Facebook post, but then when I finally started writing it, it became long. I figured it may be better as a blog post instead, so here I am. I wanted to reintroduce myself. I feel everyone is going through a transition right now with the state of the world, and honestly, that isn’t a bad thing it just means more time to be introspective. This year has been stressful and moment to moment we all question certain decisions we have made. I have been looking back on my life and for the first time, I am at a point where I see no mistakes. None! How could any of my decisions have been mistakes, they made me who I am today. This is an easy thing to acknowledge to yourself, but to really digest it prove difficult. Looking back, there was a choice in my life that I saw my shift. The girl that got on a plane alone, scared to death to fly overseas in 2004 to work on tomb excavation in Italy. That was the moment I started weaving who I wanted to be. M

You know her name, and her amazing personality from the hit show Trading Spaces on TLC. Paige Davis hasn't stopped since being cast in the show in 2001. She has starred on Broadway, and you have seen her on Ellen, Oprah, Entertainment Tonight and more. In 2018 she rejoined as host for the "Trading Spaces" reboot, and I was so pumped to be able to catch up with her in New York. We talk about her history being cast in the show, how she isn't the person to ask about DIY projects, body image, being a libra, (We are the best!), keeping an at home workout routine during Covid, and more. I have been adding video podcasts in addition to my audio casts for Marta on the Move. I do it all myself (snooze) so I will be limiting the amount of words on these blog posts. Besides, you came for the audio/video anyways. :) Today I connect with Elsa Santos owner of Azorean Cafe in Pittsburgh, PA. Elsa is from the Azores in Portugal, and while I have visited the main parts of Portugal, I have never stepped foot on the Azores! I cannot wait to visit. This episode is all about the cuisine. Yes, this is a HUGE leap for Marta, folks. She is a moron about figuring out technology, but many thanks to the huge help of friends, namely Brad over at Leveling Up Your Game, I was able to achieve this. This aren't really interviews, they are meant to be travel inspirations. #132 Actor Chazz Palminteri talks about his musical A Bronx Tale When I was younger, being Italian and having an older brother mean that I got to watch movies I never would have gotten away with at my age. Namely, a good bit of gangster themed flicks. One name I grew up watching was "Chazz" Palminteri. You knew his voice before you even saw him on screen (A credit to a good bit of his voice over work). Chazz starred in some of my favorites from the 90's- Analyze This, Mulholland Drive, Jade, Diabolique, and one of all time top 10- The Usual Suspects. But one movie spoke volumes when I was younger about a father, and the mob boss who influenced his son back in the 60's in the Bronx. The film was called A Bronx Tale, and Chazz Palminteri played Sonny the mob boss, starring opposite Robert De Niro. Unlike other gangster films of the 90's- Casino, Goodfellas, Mobsters, just to name a few, A Bronx Tale spoke about interracial love as well as the conflict between father and son.
