John the Baptist trusted that Jesus was the Messiah. Yet in the darkest time of his life, in a dungeon in the desert, John need to calm his doubts and verify his belief. Jesus' cousin, John the Baptist, told people to confess, repent, and be baptized. But he also had another message - there is someone coming who is more powerful than what he was doing. Joseph had a gift. Because he kept being put in the place of leadership, that was obviously one of them. Joseph also could interpret dreams. Even though he put them into play, he didn't reap any immediate benefits from them. Genesis 40
