  • Majesty and Dominion - Reawakening Cd1 track 10

    26/05/2020 Duration: 02min

Majesty and Dominion Fire from the North Moses looked to the burning bush and saw My presence in most unlikely form. Elisha looked up in time to see the chariots of Heaven, while Peter James and John climbed an ordinary mountain and saw Me transfigured before their eyes Thus will I turn sight into insight and make the ordinary extraordinary as you look to Me. For I am the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead, the Prince and Ruler of the kings of the earth, I have loved you and set you free from your sins by My blood, and formed you into a kingdom of priests. To Me belongs glory and power, and majesty and dominion throughout all ages. Behold I am coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Me, even those who pierced Me, and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Me and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Me. Even so must it be. Yea and Amen. The Lord laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid I am the First and the L

  • For God alone my soul waits - Reawakening Cd1 track 11

    26/05/2020 Duration: 04min

Dave Hart - For God alone my soul waits For You alone my soul waits in silence; for to You belongs silence as well as vigorous praise, and in You we experience our deepest insights in the vaults of this precious silence. Blessed are those whom You choose and draw near to dwell in your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.(1) Love one another deeply, for love covers a multitude of sins. Share all you have with each other, and open your hearts and your homes without complaining. Whatever gifts you have received, minister them to one another, as stewards of My manifold grace with the ability which I supply, so that in all things I may receive the credit, and be glorified through your lives. (2) Do not think it strange that you go through these fiery trials, as though some strange thing were happening to you. These have been sent to test you . . . Don't be afraid of all you are about to suffer, but be faithful to Me, even to the point of death, and I will give

  • Wisdom Calls out - Reawakening Cd1 track 12

    26/05/2020 Duration: 05min

Improvisations around a theme by Thomas Tallis. Listen as Wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice! On the hilltop along the road, she takes her stand at the crossroads. By the gates at the entrance to the town, on the road leading in, she cries aloud, “I call to you, to all of you! I raise my voice to all people. The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters. Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born — before he had made the earth and its fields and the first handfuls of soil. I was there when he established the heavens, when he drew the horizon on the oceans. I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. I was there when he set the limits of the seas, so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the eart

  • The Contemplative Calling - Reawakening cd1 track 13

    26/05/2020 Duration: 02min

Haydn Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (1) George Macdonald said that half the misery in the world comes from people trying to look, or to be, what they are not. We are never more fully what God has designed us to be than when, like Mary of Bethany, we devote ourselves to being at Jesus’ feet: “Mary has chosen the better part, and it will not be taken from her.” (2) The true contemplative spends time apart on behalf of the many, bringing those who either cannot or will not come for themselves; they are thus never more in company than when they appear most on their own. This is the time and this is the place to receive the flow of your leading when your thoughts glide in on the high tide of your grace, one idea intersecting and interconnecting with another. Let

  • The Trysting Place - Reawakening Cd1 track 14

    26/05/2020 Duration: 01min

Vivaldi Allemande Seek the Lord your God in the place that he chooses for you to worship in: the place where His name will be honoured Many of us find mountain tops an excellent place for meeting the Lord and getting rid of persistent worries. But since we can't all go and climb literal mountains right now, but there will always be ways in which we can make time to be with Him and to find places where we can go to gain more of His strength and perspective. Lord show us where they are and help us to make haste to find them Bless the places we hold special, Lord, where our spirit communes most deeply with You. We sanctify our homes to You, and ask that they be noble places for You to dwell. Make some special part a resting place for love, and a furnace to inspire the fire of prayer. Lie beneath a tree. Admire its shape. Marvel at the changing seasons

  • The Secret things belong to God - Reawakening Cd1 track 15

    26/05/2020 Duration: 03min

Marimba improvisation I push a little way behind the thing I see, and something seems to say, "hush," very quietly. That is God's private secret. He has not told it to me. For the secre things belong to God, whereas the things He has revealed belong to us and our children forever. The writer of Proverbs mentions various things that he couldn't fathom. I'm acutely conscious of countless things I cannot grasp. Sharpen my perspective, Lord, on the way that You concealed Your Son until the right time came to announce Him to the world. The patience by which You shape Your people wholly in preparation for the plans You possess for us beyond the edge of time. Praise You for Your purposes for Israel; for the time when the hardening of their hearts becomes a thing of the past. Thank You too for the time when all secrets are revealed on the great and final day when You overthrow all foes by the splendour of Your coming. Keep us in the meantime from the harm of the viper's charm and the secret power of lawlessness. For

  • Dark Clouds and Dragon Tails - Reawakening - Cd1 track 17

    26/05/2020 Duration: 01min

Albinoni Just as the Lord Jesus admired the faith of the centurion, He is often dismayed as His children shrink back through lack of faith. He was outstretched for us so that we can stretch out the rod of authority and decree His word of release into tightly shut situations. The dragon hates those who respond in such faith, and thrashes them with the scaly horror of his tail.’ Don’t let his dragon flicks of grief or wounded pride push you off course. From his cave of sad and sorry memories he bids you lower the scope of your expectations and diminish your hope. Continue to trust when dark clouds surround His throne. He is still the God who speeds to save His children, testing the bonds of all we hold most dear as we endure beyond the tightening pinch. Despite all abominations that bring desolation, the Lord is moving things towards the final consummation; and when the times have reached their fulfilment, He will bring all things in Heaven, and all bridgeheads on Earth, together under one Head.

  • Time is of the Essence - Cd1 track 18

    26/05/2020 Duration: 01min

Loeillet oboe concerto Time is of the essence, My children, and you will not want to waste a single moment of it. But when you really do not have any to spare, continue to feed on the wing, and hasten slowly lest rash rapid rushing leads headlong to a crash – and then, when times of special strain are past, take care to tend your soul again. Since the onslaught has been so intense, So too is your need to rest and immerse yourself in Me. The day will come when I measure grace back to you in long precious stretches of uninterrupted time. I am not like the planners of this world – who easily forget the past and misread the future. With Me, the past, present and future flow as one continual river, so that what I do today impacts on some more distant event downstream, even as the things that come your way today have their roots entwined in the far distant past. Time is of the essence, but I am calling you now to sit and be. Let Me be the chronometer that keeps the time and the metron

  • Whatever bears the stamp of the Spirit's likeness - Reawakenings Cd1 track 19

    26/05/2020 Duration: 04min

Beyond Isaiah 50 - Improvisation that led on from one of Linda Entwistle's songs Whatever is worthy of praise, noble, kind, inspired; Whatever bears the stamp of Your Spirit’s likeness there let our hearts dwell, our lives caught up in Your creative purposes,– our hearts a true reflection of Your own. If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask Me for it, for I know where it dwells and I alone understand the way to it. (Job 28:23) If you can corral your thoughts and focus on whatever is true, this will keep you from many a mistaken point of view, and overwrought distress as you try to second guess what others might have thought and meant. Repent and nurture trust and confidence by choosing to see situations through the cleansing lens of truth and benevolence. My wisdom comes wherever souls are sufficiently empty to receive it, even as the wind sweeps through the most remote regions, and the waters reach their greatest depths in the vast ocean troughs – and lightning strikes along the lines of least re

  • Burst into Song - Reawakenings Cd 1 track 20

    26/05/2020 Duration: 02min

Burst into Song - Linda Entwistle Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of His name Tell the world how glorious he is Say to God how awesome are your deeds Your enemies cringe before your mighty power Everything on earth will worship you They will sing your praises shouting your name in glorious songs Come and see what our god has done What awesome miracles he performs for people He made a dry path through the red sea and his people went across on foot By his great power he rules forever He watches every movement of the nations Let no rebel rise in defiance. Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing His praises. Our lives are in his hands and he keeps our feet from stumbling Knock on the doors of rich and poor alike, Lord Jesus – right across the world, from Southend to South America, let a profound reawakening arise. Let no soulish power cause godly longings to take wrong turns, lest those who You are drawing turn aside after lesser goals, or be hijacked by other

  • The end of the Rope

    03/04/2020 Duration: 02min

The End of the Rope With businesses crashing daily, or threatening to do so, and unemployment rates soaring around the world, many are feeling desolate and desperate. Ros and recorded this piece several years ago. I called it The End of the Rope, and I have been waiting the right time to release it. Let's pray it on behalf of many who are feeling under great pressure at this time and in need of a miracle from the Lord.

  • Marvel not but marvel well(i)

    25/03/2020 Duration: 03min

I have always loved the way Jesus declared on occasion, 'Marvel not that . . .' He is our Head, the One in whom all things hold together, our crowned king, and His 'Marvel nots! are like His 'verilys' - proclaiming truths we need to hear. These were the words that inspired a couple of reflections which we are glad to share with you. They make a very different sound from the endless updates on the spread of Corona, and bid us rather to contemplate the voice that goes out into all the earth, even to the ends of the world! (Ps.19:4) The music is ‘Latakia,’ a short piece Geth Griffiths led at one of our recording sessions, on behalf of Syria. Latakia is the principal sea port of Syria, and was the Laodicea of Revelation.

  • Redeemer of the Nations. Praying for God's power to be at work among the nations

    17/03/2020 Duration: 02min

In the light of the spread of Covid-10 and many other challenges, the Church needs a vigorous response. Here is the first of a three part prayer response to some of the challenges the Church and the nations are facing at the moment, set to beautiful music. Set to Linda Entwistle’s ‘Nunc Dimittis’ The crowds were cheering themselves hoarse as the Lord Jesus His triumphal entry into Jerusalem – but inwardly, He was weeping, because Jerusalem was about to reject the hour of her visitation, and He foresaw the ravages and loss of life that would soon afflict her. They had not understood how You longed to draw them into the shelter of Your wings. They were open to ungodly forces, hostile to You. Lord, have mercy! Mighty God, we cry to You on behalf of lands where plagues of one kind and another are flailing through; rain and firestorms, imperilling regions and lives, huge immense of locusts in Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania and elsewhere in East Africa against which there can be no defence, and now the chorus of cou

  • Your will be done on Earth as in Heaven. Praying for God's power to be at work among the nations

    17/03/2020 Duration: 04min

In the light of the spread of Covid-10 and many other challenges, the Church needs a vigorous response. Here is the second of a three part prayer response to some of the challenges the Church and the nations are facing at the moment, set to beautiful music. Set to the Music of an Adagio from Albinoni’s Oboe Concerto Opus 9 Number 2 - Adagio Anthony Thompson (Trumpet) with Shirley Richards and Rob Bilson (violins), Cathie Muncey (viola), and Corinne Frost (cello) Lord Jesus, we bring to You now each flashpoint around the world: all those places where peace has yielded way to violence, and nations descended into the maelstrom of fear and panic. We cry to You that You would intervene in mercy to dissipate these deadly perils that are assailing the nations of the world, lest unseen scourges plunge the Earth into an ever-deepening mayhem of disintegration, stealing Kingdom gems and diadems and the glory due Your Name. We pray for how the resource-rich nations maintain the balance of personal freedoms with the n

  • The Lord Reigns. Praying for God's power to be at work among the nations

    17/03/2020 Duration: 04min

In the light of the spread of Covid-10 and many other challenges, the Church needs a vigorous response. Here is the third of a three part prayer response to some of the challenges the Church and the nations are facing at the moment, set to beautiful music. Set to the music of Bach’s concerto for oboe and violin, BWV 1060 With Thomas Herzog (oboe), Susannah Herzog, Shirley Richards and Helen Rees (violins), Julian Chan (viola), and Jo Garcia (cello). Lord, You warn in Revelation of seven last deadly plagues, those plagues are the completion of Your wrath, and the last of the seven seals, when You permit that sickly, pallid horse and its deathly rider to have authority to kill one-quarter of the world by famine, war and plague. (Rev. 6:8) Covid 19 may not be on that sort of scale, but even those terrors did not lead the greater part of humanity who survived to humble themselves and turn to You. (Rev. 9: 20-21) We cry out for many turn to You while there is yet time. Then I heard the angel in charge of

  • We dare not take Your grace for granted

    06/03/2020 Duration: 04min

We first published this prayer for our land in the aftermath of a particular atrocity some years ago. It remains raw and relevant in the face of the particular challenges the nation is facing at the moment. May this cry to the Lord ascend before the throne of the Lord and draw down His great mercy. The powerful music is by Corelli, followed by Colin Owen's ‘Minor Muse.’ The words can also be found below. Transcript Broken and open lies our land in Your sight; clouds pressing down, light dim, darkness rising. For through our own deliberate fault we have rejected Your ways and laid our inheritance bare to powerful forces sweeping through the land; while aimless souls scuttle and hustle in self-imposed blindness deafened by the endless jangle that disentangles souls from Me And the holy ones lament, for this is not the destiny God prepared for us, when first He brought His word to these shores. Lord of hosts, in acts of mercy beyond marvel, You who have foiled and thwarted so many seeming perfect plots, rene

  • Your Troops Will Be Willing

    05/03/2020 Duration: 08min

I love the verse in Psalm 110:3 where it says that the Lord’s troops will be ‘willing on the day of battle.’ It is a powerful verse, although precisely what it means will vary for each of us according to our circumstances and calling. Nothing can be more important for any of us, though, than our willingness to serve the Lord, provided only that it be coupled to the much-needed perseverance to keep going when times are challenging. If willingness is a heart response of love to love, then perseverance is a dogged determination not only just to keep going but to go the extra mile whenever it is called for. May the Lord make us willing to persevere, and add perseverance to our willingness in order to see the Lord break through in one situation after another. May we be swift to volunteer for all the Lord directs our attention to, and strategic in our efforts. Join Robert, Sally Mowbray and Colin Owen in this meditation on the twin themes of willingness and perseverance. It is set to music written by Robert Wes
