It sets the tone for Discipleship and World Evangelization for the young generation, equipping them thoroughly for good works in the last days. The EYF carries a Spirit that does not make the gospel easy, but helps youngsters comprehend true humility in the Grace of Christ. As it is, the gospel is easy to the humble, and powerful to those who learn true grace.EYF is led by Pastor Vincent, with Preacher Hui Koon and sister Hooi Ching taking over in his absence.

  • Jesus is Willing to Heal!

    25/11/2015

A man with leprosy came and knelt before Jesus and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” Mt 8:1-4 Jesus is willing to heal us, and most importantly, He has the authority to do so! But do we see ourselves as patients needing His healing today? Are we humble enough to receive this healing of the Cross?

  • Walk With God on Solid Foundation

    11/11/2015

What is our current relationship with our brethren? What is our foundation of joy and strength? What are the things that hinder us from walking the narrow gate? 3 fundamental questions that we ought to ask ourselves daily in order to diagnose the hidden Pharisee/hypocrisy inside us - ie after knowing the letter of God, are we living out the spirit of the letter - ie love. A person who walks with God on solid foundation is not a perfect man but one who consistently receives instruction, encouragement, rebuke and love from the unshakeable promises of God and Holy Spirit, and stand refined by God's refining fire, so much so that the people around him is blessed through his blessedness and freedom in Christ.

  • Anxiety-free in Christ

    04/11/2015

Anxiety is one major state that distract saints from following God. Do you worry easily? We cannot worry and seek God soberly at the same time. When we worry, not only the devil is attacking us like a roaring lion in an attempt to destroy our trust in God, our overpowering desires also prevent us from trusting God that He loves us supremely and knows what we need best. Unconsciously, our body, mind and spirit enter into a "labouring on our own" state. Jesus said, "do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own". We often hear people say "Do not worry, be happy". What then is the surety we can rest on for not being worrisome; and what is the assurance that we can be happy? When Jesus gives us the word "Do not worry about tomorrow", He means to tell us that the Father God loves you so profoundly deep that He is willing to give up His one and only Son to die for our sins, so that we can be clothed in His righteousness, as long as we believe in Him

  • See Right, Invest Right

    28/10/2015

The Sermon on the Mount is to point us to our hearts - God wants to expose anything that distract us from entering true discipleship, so that you can be broken and restored in one heart and one eye for Christ. And one distraction (and a strong one) is money. A person who has the right spiritual perspective will also be one who invest correctly in real treasures, because having a heart that is right before God will empower a person to live it out through his outward expression of using his money wisely for the kingdom's purpose. Great is his rewards in heaven!

  • Secret doing and prayers that please God

    21/10/2015

Do we look for affirmation from man, compliments and validation from bosses when we do our jobs well? In this face-paced society we're living in, we often hear the need to "affirm people for what they have done". While there is nothing wrong in seeking affirmation, little do we realize that our hearts have started to yearn for man's validation more than what God thinks of us as we are faithful to the things, big or small, assigned to us. In doing and prayers, the Pharisees committed one deadly mistake - they did it before many audiences, and they seek validation from these audiences. But the doing and prayer that please God is this - you do and you pray because you have only ONE audience, ie God. Because He is the only audience, you do because you care about Him more than anyone else; you pray because you just want to continuously seek the inputs and voices from this audience.

  • Not Letter, But Love

    14/10/2015

What kind of heart do you carry with yourself as you read the Word of God? The heart you carry determines the reactions that will unfold in your life, after reading the Word. Some people bring an accused heart into reading the Word, knowing that the Word has said it all, yet she is helpless in achieving it. What she should do she does not, what she should not do she does all the times. Instead of getting comfort from the Word that spells love to the heart, the accused heart causes her to unable receive grace, assurance and support from God. God wants us to restore the heart of sonship as we read the Word. He desires us to enjoy being a child of God, and thus enjoy full freedom and reconciliation with God as we seek to find Him (and His directions) through His Word. The Word is not emphasizing the set of laws to uphold but more importantly, the love of God that covers all multitude of sins. Therefore, as we read it with a heart of Child, the love that outflows from God's Word will renew and deepen our love

  • Salty and Shining Disciples

    07/10/2015

A lot of times we feel small and irrelevant when the bible mentions "You are the salt and the light of the world". Because we often appear too small as we stand in this world, for it is always attacking us in every ways, causing us to easily doubt God's promise for us and His calling in our lives as a person who can truly reflect the glory of Christ in the things we do. Firstly, we really ought to be assured of who we are first. What we are is more important than what we do. We are salt and light of the world not because we have done anything great but it's solely because of Christ who loves us surpassingly, to the extent of dying on the Cross in order to set us free from the bondage of sin. And now, He is living in and through us who believe in Him - that is the reason why each child of God has the potential to influence the world with his gospel-flavored life. Because Christ is living through our limited flesh, that itself makes us the salt and light of the world. Hence, set our heart right, first. See

  • Hallmarks of Blessedness

    30/09/2015

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of God. " The 8 beatitudes that Jesus mentioned on the sermon on the Mount represent the hallmark of a blessed child of God. They described someone who is called, loved and blessed by God. The Word of God gives us great comfort, at the same time, He also challenges us to examine our faith. Today, are we still poor in spirit? Have we started to feel strong in our human abilities and rely on them more than seeking God and needing God? Today, whatever season we're in, do we r

  • Suffering in the Presence of Divine Relationship

    16/09/2015

"If we didn't choose Grace, we shouldn't choose our sufferings either. Yet believe that if we share in His sufferings, we will also share in His glory." - Pastor Vincent No one in suffering like the situation they are in, often we ask, "God do I deserve all these?" Why is there pain and suffering? Because of the presence of sin and evil, and the purpose of Satan is to inflict a sense of abandonment in God's children, and make us misunderstand the love of God. Like Job, our misery in suffering can be so overwhelming that we intensely protest against God, only to affirm the forsaken feeling even more and become an easier prey for Satan. And yet, what Satan meant for evil God use it for the good of His children, so that they will come to know He is the Giver of grace, righteousness, love and hope. Spiritual battle is indeed fighting against the voices of untruth and abandonment through the promise of God.

  • Jesus' Calling and Our Response

    09/09/2015

["Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people." At once they left their nets and followed Him.] Do you feel happy when God calls you? We're often very happy when we're called by VIPs and influential people in the world, but when God calls us, do we feel awesome and happy about it? Sadly, a lot of times, we don't, and perhaps, we look down on His calling too. Unless we know the nature of God's calling, we will not be able to respond correctly to it, and as a result, we lose a great deal of blessings He's prepared for us. Jesus called Peter at where he was - when he was a sinner, when he was fishing day in day out yet gaining no yield. His concern was on the tangible things which he deemed important. But as God called him, Peter was utterly broken because he saw how sinful he had been and how unworthy he was of the grace lavished on him freely. Being reclaimed by Jesus' love, he left everything and followed Jesus upon His call, because he had found God as all, what he had gotte

  • Jesus Brings in the Year of the Lord's Favour

    02/09/2015

What's so gracious and joyous about the Lord's year? Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.." (Lk 4:18-19) Jesus's ministry brought spiritual restoration in the people of God, and redeemed us from the judgment and punishment of sin, uncovering the healing that is to come in all who respond to the good news with humility and desperate need for Him. Because it's the year of Lord's favour, the blind can now see, the bonded are liberated, the poor is satisfied in their souls and the oppressed found their tower of refuge. Lord's favor is on us, are we rejecting this blessing that is to come because of our pride and hardened heart? The year of Lord's favour is neither tomorrow nor when your situation is more bearable, it is now when you stop hardening your heart upon hearing His Word. "Come to me, all you who are weary and bur

  • Significance of Baptism of God's Son

    19/08/2015

Have you ever wondered why Jesus needs to be baptized? Even though He is the Son of God, He deliberately went to John the Baptist to be baptised because He wants to identify, connect, and empathise with us, His Children. But, does it mean we can continue to gratify our sinful desires just because God "understands" us? no. On the contrary, we will long for sinlessness and be like the sinless Christ when we are able to see His empathy and grace.
