Sergei Bobrovsky was the story in the second period as the Devils controlled play for a good portion of the period, but the Panthers were able to get on the score sheet on the other end with Matthew Tkachuk setting up defenseman Niko Mikkola for his first as a Panther to make it 3-0. The Devils made it a game in the final minutes of the period as they got three goals in the third(two of them on the power play), but the Panthers survive as they defeat New Jersey 4-3 at the Prudential Center, and finish the road trip 1-2-0.
