    The Champions League playoff round has come to a conclusion and Tottenham, Auxerre, Ajax, FC Copenhagen, and MSK Zilina have added their name into the four pots for today's Champions League group stage draw. Steven and Kenny will be in early to do a mock draw of their own and then, during the show, will reveal the draw that matters and the match-ups that come with it. Phil Schoen from GolTV will join us for a LA Liga preview and we will also get his thoughts on the Champions League draw. Sam Wallace from the Independent will join us to give his thoughts on the Champions League draw and how the English teams will fair, and the start of the Premier League season.     We are in the middle of the week and right after an enthralling day in the Champions League yesterday with Werder Bremen, FC Basel, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Partizan Belgrade, and Braga all going through to the group stages. Steven and Kenny will review yesterday's exciting matches the pick of the bunch being Anderlecht v. Partizan and Sampdoria v. Werder Bremen; Sevilla-Braga also exciting with loads of goals and an upset result. Steven and Kenny will also preview the five matches taking place today, and at the end of the day (the most overused cliche in all of sports) we will know the last five teams to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League. Tottenham look to advance through to the knockout stages as they play Young Boys of Bern trailing 3-2 on aggregate; we welcome Nick Szczepanik, who is covering the game in London tonight, to give us a full preview of the Spurs' match.     We begin another week full of football coverage here at World Football Daily. Three 6-0 scorelines dominated headlines from the weekend in the Premier League as Arsenal, Chelsea (for the second straight week), and Newcastle all enjoyed the comfortable win margin. Manchester United dropped their first two points of the campaign after failing to hold a lead late on a Hangeland goal from a corner late on. Barcelona defeated Sevilla 4-0 at home to win the Spanish Super Cup in come from behind fashion, winning 5-3 on aggregate thanks to the help of a hattrick from Lionel Messi. In the Supercoppa Italiana, Inter added another trophy to the ol' cabinet by defeating Roma 3-1. We are pleased to welcome Nottingham Forest Manager, Billy Davies, to the program (Notts Forest drawing with Reading 1-1 at the weekend).     We have hit the middle of the week here at World Football Daily. Tottenham waited a long time to finally participate in the Champions League and the were taught a tough lesson last night after falling 3-0 down to BSC Young Boys before the half hour. They clawed their way back scoring twice and ultimately losing 3-2 which puts them in decent shape to advance to the group stage with a Wednesday match-up at White Hart Lane. Steven and Kenny will give their analysis on the five games from yesterday's Champions League playoff games. Craig Bellamy has joined his boyhood club Cardiff City and we welcome their manager David Jones to the program to discuss their most recent signing and also how he see's his team fairing this season. In MLS news, former Barcelona, Manchester City, Hull City, and others, player, Geovanni, has signed as the first DP for the San Jose Earthquakes - another high profile signing by our domestic league. Mesut Ozil has officially signed with Spanish Giants Real Madrid and James Milner looks set to finally be playing at Eastlands this season. Steven and Kenny will preview the big Champions League games for today and also discuss MLS at length today.     Welcome to yet another week of World Football Daily. The football season edges ever-closer to being in full swing with the Premier League kicking off and the Spanish Super Cup playing leg 1 this weekend, which Sevilla defeated Barcelona by a 3-1 scoreline. The defending Premier League champions, Chelsea, kicked off their campaign with a statement-winning performance, 6-0, over West Brom; Tottenham and Manchester City played to a scoreless draw and Joe Hart was the standout Man-of-the-Match; Pepe Reina conceded an own-goal in the 90th minute to drop two points against Arsenal in which the Anfield side played very well with only 10 men for half the game after new signing Joe Cole was sent off for a rash challenge. But the biggest story from the opening weekend may be that newly-promoted side Blackpool, virtually everyone's favorite to finish bottom, defeated Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium 4-0.
